Girl Guides
The Girl Guides are part of the country's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women with over 60,000 members in the UK.
Fife is the 3rd largest county in Girlguiding Scotland and has two residential centres for annual camps.
St. John's is home to the 20th Kirkcaldy Guides and hosts both the Guides (aged 10-14) and Senior Section (aged 14-25) who all meet on Wednesday evenings.
St. Andrews Church Halls are home to the Rainbows and Brownies.
Centenary Exhibition
2010 is the centenary of the Girl Guides and Kirkcaldy Museum is hosting a special exhibition on Girl Guiding in Fife called "Girls in the Lead". This will be held from 24th April to 30th May 2010.
There are also special stamps showing all the Girl Guide Groups and a Girlguiding Centenary Website.
