Centenary Events
There are many events running from March to September to celebrate the centenary of the Church.
The celebrations started at the end of March with a special concert by the Central Band of the Royal British Legion Scotland and continue with these future events:
Exhibition of Memorabilia
1st to 3rd August: Exhibition of memorabilia and old photographs (please contact us if you would like to contribute).
125th Anniversary Boy's Brigade Service
31st August: A special Boy's Brigade Service to which all former members are invited celebrating 125 years of the Boy's Brigade (83 years at St. Johns!).
The service will be attended by the present Moderator of the Church of Scotland, Rt. Rev. David Lunan.
Doors Open Day
14th September: The Church will be open as part of Doors Open Day in the Kirkcaldy and Central Fife area. View the full list of open buildings.
Flower Festival
26th to 28th September: Flower Festival - A Celebration of 100 Years in Flowers "Then and Now".
Celebration Church Service and "Songs of Praise"
28th September: To close the centenary year, a special Church service in the morning with special guests, and a "Songs of Praise" service in the evening.
